Sylvia’s “Bible in a Year” Reading Plan
Did you know that it only takes about 15 minutes a day to read through the whole Bible in a Year? A number of years ago, I was looking for a suitable “Bible in a Year” challenge and couldn’t find what I wanted. So I worked one out for myself. If you read around 63 verses of the Old Testament (OT) per day, and 22 verses of the New Testament (NT) per day – you read through the Bible in a Year. Alternatively, you could just read through the NT in a year (which takes around 5 minutes per day) OR just the OT in a year (which takes around 10 minutes per day), or the whole lot (around 15 minutes per day). The better we know God’s word, the more likely we are to align ourselves with it. The closer we align ourselves to it, the better we glorify him and live abundantly here on earth – irrespective of our circumstances. The better we glorify God and live abundantly irrespective of our circumstances, the more likely we are to grow God’s kingdom. It doesn’t have to be from January to December – it could be February to January, or March to February etc. Why not start today! See the link here for the monthly plans.
