When you fill in a Welcome card, or the Contact Us online form on our website, or provide your details for the express purpose of joining our church, we receive the personal information you give us — such as your name, phone number, Facebook profile and/or email address.
By doing this you may opt in to being contacted by a member of our church leadership or support team.
If you provide your email or Facebook profile and indicate that you wish to join the HWBC mailing list, you will be added to the mailing list and/or Facebook group.
Members of the church (not just leadership) may send you emails about our church’s Sunday gatherings, other activities, and other updates, using this mailing list. These messages will have [HWBC] at the start of the subject line.
The Facebook group is an unmoderated discussion area for our whole community.
When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
If after you have been added to our mailing list or Facebook group(s) you change your mind, or decide to move on from Hawthorn West Baptist Church, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at contactus@hwbc.org.au or mailing us at:

You can also choose to remove yourself directly from our mailing list by following the instructions at the bottom of every email. You can remove yourself from the Facebook group by clicking ‘Leave Group’ on the RHS.
